Dimplex Revillusion Weathered Concrete 36 Electric Insert (500005136)

Real wood logs, flames you can see through, and heat on demand. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–450 sq ft • Viewing Area: 36″ wide, in a tall portrait format. • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Built-in touch controls and a remote that adjusts flame color and brightness. • Fan: Included Who It’s For Most electric fireplaces show you a flame on a flat panel, and from the side you see your lamp reflected as much as the fire. So the fireplace becomes something you glance at instead of something you gather around. You need an electric fire with real depth —one you look into , not just at. If you want the fire to hold up from every seat in the room, the Dimplex Revillusion 36 Portrait in Weathered Concrete is the one. A standard electric gives you a picture of a fire; this one gives you a firebox people lean in to figure out. What Makes It Special The flames rise through a partially frosted, translucent panel, so they appear to come from within the logs themselves —and you see the full weathered-concrete interior behind the fire instead of a mirror. That depth is what your eye reads as real . The logs are Realogs, handcrafted from real wood , with LED light inside that pulses like a bed of live coals. Look closely and the bark is bark. When you want warmth, the fan-forced heater covers up to 1,000 sq ft —enough for a large living room. On a mild evening, run the flame alone and skip the heat entirely. Possible Downsides • Electric heat warms the room it’s in , not the far end of the house; if the fireplace is your whole-home heat plan, look at gas or wood. • Weathered Concrete is the only interior on this model ; Herringbone, Neutral Brick, and Black are separate versions of the same firebox. If you’ve ruled out electric because electric fires look electric, the Revillusion 36 Portrait is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in. The same 36″ portrait firebox comes in four interior designs—Weathered Concrete, Herringbone, Neutral Brick, and Black—so the backdrop behind the fire can match the room you already have.
