Dimplex Revillusion Weathered Concrete 24 Electric Insert

An electric fire people look at twice before they believe it. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–450 sq ft • Viewing Area: 24″ of flame • Fuel: Electric—plugs in, or an electrician can hardwire it. • Controls: Remote with adjustable light color and intensity; built-in touch controls. • Fan: Included Who It’s For You want a fire in the bedroom, the basement, or the wall you’re remodeling—rooms where a chimney or gas line was never going to happen. Most electric fireplaces answer that with a flat panel of flame, and you can tell it’s a screen the moment you look closely. You need an electric fire that reads as fire from across the room. If that’s you, the Dimplex Revillusion 24 is the one—it builds into a wall or slides into a fireplace you already have. Pick a standard electric box and you get a picture of a fire; pick this one and guests lean in to check whether it’s real . What Makes It Special The Revillusion flame effect projects fire onto a partially frosted acrylic panel , so the flames appear to rise from inside the logs and you can see clear through them to the weathered-concrete backer— the full-depth view you get looking into a masonry firebox . The logs are Realogs, handcrafted from real wood , with inner lights that pulse like a bed of live coals. The remote tunes the light color and brightness, so the fire runs bright for a full room or low for the last hour of the night. And it’s a heater, not just a picture: the built-in fan pushes warmth into up to 1,000 square feet , or run the flames alone on a summer evening for pennies a night. Possible Downsides • It heats with electricity, so it won’t warm the room during a power outage. • Installation trim kits are optional accessories, not included in the box. • Weathered Concrete is the only backer on this model; Black, Herringbone, and Neutral Brick are separate versions. If you want a fire that looks real in a room where a real one was never an option, the Revillusion 24 is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in. The Weathered Concrete backer is one of four Revillusion finishes—Black, Herringbone, and Neutral Brick are the others—and optional 36″ and 40″ installation trim kits give the opening a clean, built-in edge.
