Dimplex Revillusion Herringbone Brick 42 Electric Insert

An electric fire you can actually look into. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–450 sq ft • Viewing Area: 42″ wide • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Built-in touch controls plus a remote that adjusts flame color and brightness. • Fan: Included Who It’s For Most electric flames look like what they are—a picture of a fire playing on a glass panel. You glance at it; you don’t gather around it. You need an electric fire with real depth, one you can see through , not just at. If your room has no chimney and no gas line but you still want the fire to be the thing people notice, the Revillusion Herringbone Brick 42 is the one. Choose a flat-panel electric instead and you get ambiance; choose this and you get a firebox that reads as the real thing . What Makes It Special The firebox has full depth you can see into . Flames rise from within Realogs—logs handcrafted from real wood with LED light pulsing inside them, the way embers glow inside a burning log —set against a herringbone brick backer. The flame panel is partially frosted acrylic, so you see fire rather than your lamp reflected in glass, and you can look clear through the flames to the brick behind them. Flames and heat run separately. On a warm evening, run the flames alone and use the remote to set the light color and intensity to match the mood. When it turns cold, the fan-forced heater warms up to 1,000 square feet—enough to hold the room you’re actually sitting in while the furnace idles. Possible Downsides • Heat is fan-forced only —warmth comes with the fan running; there is no silent radiant mode. • Herringbone is the only backer on this unit ; the same firebox comes in Weathered Concrete, Neutral Brick, and Black as separate models. If you want a fire without a chimney that people still gather around, the Revillusion Herringbone Brick 42 is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in. The tempered glass front and plug kit are included, the flame color and brightness are adjustable from the remote, and the same firebox is available in Weathered Concrete, Neutral Brick, and Black backers for a different look.
