Dimplex Revillusion Black 36 Electric Insert

A fire that looks real because the logs are. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–450 sq ft • Viewing Area: 36″ • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Remote with adjustable flame color and brightness; touch controls on the unit. • Fan: Included (fan-forced heater). Who It’s For You want a fire in a room with no chimney and no gas line—or you’re done maintaining the one you have. Most electric fireplaces show a flat ribbon of flame on a mirrored back, and you can tell. You need an electric fire that reads as real from across the room . If you want the look and warmth of a fire every night with nothing more than an electrical connection, the Revillusion Black 36 is the one. Choose a standard electric box and you get decoration; choose this one and the fire is the reason people stay in the room. What Makes It Special Dimplex’s patented flame effect plays across a partially frosted acrylic panel set behind the logs, so the fire appears to rise from within the logs themselves —and because the panel is translucent, you see the full depth of the firebox, not a mirror image of your own living room . The logs are Realogs, handcrafted from real wood , with inner lights that pulse like coals settling in a real fire . The remote adjusts the flame’s color and brightness, so the same fireplace can read warm and traditional one night and cool and modern the next. The fan-forced heater warms up to 1,000 square feet on demand—a living room that’s genuinely warm, not just decorated. In summer, run the flames with the heat off entirely. Possible Downsides • Full heat output requires a hardwired 240-volt connection; plugged into a standard outlet with the included plug kit, it delivers about half the heat. • It warms the room it’s in, not the whole house —this is comfort-zone heat, not a furnace replacement. If you want a real-looking fire anywhere there’s electricity, the Revillusion Black 36 is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in. The Revillusion 36 includes a tempered glass front and plug kit, and the same firebox is offered with Herringbone, Neutral Brick, and Weathered Concrete backers alongside this Black.
