Dimplex Revillusion Black 24 Electric Insert

The electric fire that looks like it’s burning real wood. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–450 sq ft • Viewing Area: 24″ firebox • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Mood-Maker remote plus touch controls on the unit; flame color and brightness are adjustable. • Fan: Included Who It’s For Most electric fireplaces give themselves away in a week—a flat flame on a screen that stops fooling anyone, so the switch stops getting flipped and the fireplace becomes furniture. You need an electric fire that holds up to a second look. If you want a real-looking fire in a room where gas and wood were never on the table—a bedroom, a den, a basement wall—the Revillusion Black 24 is built for exactly that. A standard electric box will fill the opening; this one is the fire people look at twice. What Makes It Special The Revillusion flame effect projects its fire onto a partially frosted acrylic panel set behind the logs, so the flames seem to rise from within the logs themselves —and because the panel is translucent, you see through the fire to the full depth of the firebox instead of your lamp reflected in the glass. The logs are Realogs— handcrafted from real wood , with LED light inside that pulses like settling embers. The Mood-Maker remote adjusts flame color and light intensity, so the same firebox can read warm and traditional one evening and cooler and modern the next. The fan-forced heater warms up to 1,000 square feet on demand, with an Eco mode for milder evenings and a flame-only setting that runs the fire without the heat all summer. It plugs into a standard outlet, or an electrician can wire it in directly, and it’s backed by a two-year limited warranty. Possible Downsides • Black is the only interior on this model ; the same firebox comes in herringbone, neutral brick, and weathered concrete versions if you want a masonry look. • Installation trim kits are optional accessories , not included in the box. If you’re tired of electric flames that look electric, the Revillusion Black 24 is the right decision. The fire people look at twice becomes the room everyone ends up in. The 24″ Revillusion is also available with herringbone, neutral brick, and weathered concrete interiors, and optional 36″ and 40″ black installation trim kits finish the opening.
