Dimplex Revillusion 25 Electric Insert

Put a fire back in the fireplace you already have—tonight. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 150–250 sq ft • Efficiency: 100% (electric; every watt becomes heat in the room). • Viewing Area: 25″ of flame across a full grate of logs. • Fuel: Electric—plugs into any standard household outlet. • Controls: Remote for flames, mood lighting, and heat. • Fan: Included, built into the hidden heater. Who It’s For There’s a wood-burning fireplace in your living room, and it sits dark most of the year because a real fire means kindling, smoke, and cleanup. You need a fire you can turn on. If you want flames in that opening on an ordinary Tuesday without burning anything, the Revillusion 25 log set is the one—set it on the hearth, plug it into a standard outlet, and the fireplace is working again. Leave things as they are and the best seat in the house keeps facing an empty firebox. What Makes It Special The flames rise from inside a full grate of life-size hardwood-cast logs , and behind them is a partially frosted panel instead of a mirror—so you see the fire and the back of your own fireplace, not your lamp reflected in glass . Look through the flames and the masonry is still there. That’s what makes it read as a real fire instead of a screen. It’s also a fire for every month of the year. Run the flames without the heat on a July evening, or run the heater without the flames to take the chill off in October. Mood lighting, a flicker setting, and a red or blue flame base let you tune the fire to the room. The warmth comes from a fan-forced ceramic heater tucked out of sight —you feel the heat without seeing the hardware, and nothing about the front says appliance. Possible Downsides • A One-Room Heater: It’s built to warm the space it sits in, not the rooms beyond it. • Runs on household power, so flames and heat both stop during an outage. • One Log Style Per Set: The classic, birch, and fresh cut looks are separate sets, chosen at purchase. If you want the fireplace you already have to hold a fire again without the work of burning wood, the Revillusion 25 is the right decision. The opening you walk past all winter becomes the glow the whole room faces. The set comes in three log styles—classic hardwood, white birch, and fresh cut—so the fire can match the room it lives in.
