Dimplex Optimyst RGB Pro Box 40 Electric Fireplace

A fire people swear is real—until you wave a hand through it. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Fuel: Electric; the flame itself is fine water mist lit by LEDs. • Controls: Built-in controls, remote, or the Flame Connect app for full-color and sound customization. • Fan: Included (fan-forced heater). Who It’s For There are rooms where a real fire can’t go, and seasons when you don’t want the heat—but you still want the fire. You need a flame that looks alive without burning anything. If you picture the fire running on a June evening, in whatever color the room calls for, while guests lean in trying to figure out how it works, the Optimyst RGB Pro Box 40 is the one. Settle for a screen-style electric flame instead and you’ll always know it’s a picture; this one has depth, movement, and smoke. What Makes It Special The flame is three-dimensional because it’s actually there. Ultra-fine mist rises from the ember bed and LED light turns it into fire and drifting smoke—a patented 3D flame effect you can look into, not a video behind glass. It’s cool to the touch, so it runs flame-only all year and adds heat only when you ask. Five flame colors are built in, and the Flame Connect app unlocks full-spectrum custom color —amber for a quiet evening, something bolder for a party, and sound to match, all from the remote or your phone. Spacers let you shape the width and pattern of the flame itself. It’s also designed to connect to a water line, so the fire runs continuously with no tank to refill , and an overflow sensor shuts the water off automatically to prevent leaks. Possible Downsides • The ember bed media isn’t included. The tray is; you choose the finish—tumbled glass, river rocks, black rocks, or acrylic crystals. • Plumbing is part of the install. Continuous operation means connecting the unit to a water line, so budget the job, not just the box. • See-through takes an extra pane. One glass pane is included for single-sided installs; the rear glass pane is sold separately. If you want a living, moving fire in a place a real one could never go, the Optimyst RGB Pro Box 40 is the right decision. It becomes the first thing people notice—in December with the heat on, and in July without it. Ember bed options include tumbled glass, small and large river rocks, large black rocks, and acrylic crystals in three sizes, and an optional rear glass pane converts it to a see-through fire; a plug kit is also available.
