Dimplex Nova Series 23 (with Logs) Electric Fireplace

A wood-fire look from the outlet you already have. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Fuel: Electric—plugs into a standard household outlet. • Controls: Multi-function remote plus hidden built-in controls with thermostat, brightness, and flame themes; built-in timer. • Fan: Included Who It’s For There’s a room that wants a fire—an old fireplace that’s been sitting dark, or a wall that’s never had one—but a gas line or a chimney was never in the cards. So the room stays the one you walk through instead of the one you sit in. You need a fire that runs on a standard outlet . If you want flames tonight, heat when you ask for it, and no construction crew, the Nova 23 with Realogs is the one. Pick gas or wood instead and you’ll get more heat—along with permits, venting, and a much bigger project. What Makes It Special The Nova asks almost nothing of your house. It plugs into a standard outlet —no gas line, no chimney, no crew opening a wall. Slide it into an existing fireplace or build a new surround around it, and you’re done. The flames run 365 days a year, with or without the heat . Realogs—molded logs that glow from within over a pulsing ember bed—carry the fire, and you can adjust flame speed, brightness, and the firebox hues until it matches the evening. When you do want warmth, the fan-forced heater covers up to 1,000 square feet on demand, holds the temperature you set, and shuts itself off on the timer. Possible Downsides • Everything runs on household power , so in an outage there’s no flame and no heat; if backup heat matters, a gas or wood unit is the pick. • The Realogs log bed is what’s in the box ; tumbled glass, river rocks, black rocks, acrylic crystals, and driftwood log sets are optional add-ons. If you want a fire in a room where a gas line or chimney was never going to happen, the Nova 23 is the right decision. The room with the dark fireplace becomes the one everyone ends up in. The look is adjustable: dress the ember bed with tumbled glass, river rocks, black rocks, or acrylic crystals, or trade the standard logs for a beach or classic driftwood set.
