Dimplex Ignite Ultra 74 Electric Fireplace

Six feet of fire, twelve months a year. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Viewing Area: 74″ of flame • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Flame Connect app, wall-mountable remote, and onboard buttons; built-in timer up to 8 hours. • Fan: Included (fan-forced heater). Who It’s For Most fireplaces earn their place for a few cold months and sit dark the rest of the year. You need a fire that runs with the heat off. If you want a wall-wide flame as the centerpiece of a living room, dining room, or basement remodel— with no chimney and no gas line —the Ignite Ultra 74 is built for exactly that. Pick a fuel-burning unit instead and the fire goes quiet from April to October; this one works on a July evening as well as a January one. What Makes It Special The Flex-Flame feature gives you two distinct fires in one fireplace : a simple component swap moves you between the Dynamic-Fire and Multi-Fire flame effects, and the Flame Connect app unlocks additional flame colors beyond that. The movable logs glow from the inside and pulse in rhythm with the flames , with the crackle of a natural wood fire behind them—so the fire reads as a fire, not an animation. It’s also four fireplaces in one box: front-facing, left-corner, right-corner, or bay . The same unit can sit flush in a wall, wrap a corner, or show flame on three sides—the room decides. And the heater is on-demand: run it for real supplemental warmth in winter, or shut it off entirely and keep the flames going through summer. Possible Downsides • Supplemental heat only —it warms up to 1,000 sq ft as comfort heat, not as a home’s primary heat source. • Everything runs on electricity , so flames and heat both stop during a power outage. • App features need Wi-Fi where the fireplace is installed; the extra flame colors and sound options live in the Flame Connect app. If you want the fire to be the first thing people notice—in every season—the Ignite Ultra 74 is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in, all year long. The look is yours to set: optional log sets in split-log and chunky driftwood styles, and ember beds from tumbled glass and river rocks to acrylic crystals, so the fire matches the room you already have.
