Dimplex Ignite Evolve 50 Electric Fireplace

The linear fire that doesn’t have to stay indoors. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Viewing Area: 48¾” wide fire • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Mobile app, remote, or hidden built-in panel; thermostat and 8-hour timer. • Fan: Included (built into the heater). Who It’s For A fireplace usually stays indoors, and it usually goes dark from April to October—while the covered patio, where the long evenings actually happen, does without. You need a fire that isn’t limited to indoors, or to winter. If you’re finishing a living-room wall or a sheltered outdoor space and want a flame you’ll run twelve months a year , an indoor-only unit leaves the patio a patio; the Dimplex Ignite Evolve 50 can make it another room. What Makes It Special The Evolve is certified for outdoor use under a protective overhang, backed by a 5-year warranty indoors and 1 year outdoors. The wall on a covered porch can carry the same edge-to-edge, flush-mounted fire as the living room—no fuel to store, no smoke to manage. Everything about the fire adjusts. Flame speed and color set independently or combine in one of seven presets, an ambient light sensor matches the firebox brightness to the room, and the media bed mixes acrylic crystals, tumbled glass, and driftwood logs. Turn the heat off and the flame keeps going — a fire for a July evening as much as a January one —and when you want warmth, the heater takes the chill off up to 1,000 square feet. Possible Downsides • The heat is supplemental —it warms the room it’s in, not the whole floor. • Outdoor installations carry a 1-year warranty ; indoor installations get 5 years. • Outdoor use requires a sheltering overhang to protect the unit from direct rain. If you want a linear fire that isn’t limited to indoors—or to winter—the Ignite Evolve 50 is the right decision. The space it lands in, living room or covered patio, becomes the room everyone ends up in. Ember beds come in tumbled glass, river rocks, black rocks, and acrylic crystals; log sets in beach driftwood, classic driftwood, and thin split logs; plus a moulded 50″ linear faux-wood bed and an optional trim kit.
