Dimplex Ignite Bold 60 Electric Fireplace

Five feet of flame, indoors or out. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Viewing Area: 61½” wide fire • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Mobile app, remote, or built-in touch controls, with a thermostat and a timer up to eight hours. • Fan: Included Who It’s For Most fireplaces let the house decide where they go, and the covered patio never makes the list. You need a fire that goes where your evenings actually happen. If you want a wall-wide flame in the living room or under the patio roof —with heat you can run or leave off entirely—the Ignite Bold 60 is built for exactly that. Pick an indoor-only unit and the outdoor space stays an afterthought; pick this one and the same fire is certified for both. What Makes It Special Start with where it can live. The Ignite Bold 60 is certified for sheltered outdoor spaces —under a roof or overhang that keeps direct weather off it—so the same unit that anchors a living room can anchor a covered patio or three-season room. The fire earns the attention. The Multi-Fire flame effect layers color to create a sense of depth behind edge-to-edge glass, an ambient light sensor matches the firebox to the room’s light, and the media bed mixes acrylic crystals with driftwood. Turn the heat off and run the flames year-round , July included. One box installs three ways—front-facing, left or right corner, or bay—so the unit fits the wall you have , not the other way around, and built-in diagnostics report what it needs instead of leaving you guessing. Possible Downsides • Supplemental Heat, Not a Furnace: It warms the room it’s in, up to about 1,000 square feet, and stops there. • Outdoor installs carry a one-year warranty (five years indoors) and require overhead protection that meets Dimplex’s coverage rule. • App control needs WiFi at the fireplace; without it, you’re on the remote and touch controls. If you want one fire that anchors the living room in January and the covered patio in October, the Ignite Bold 60 is the right decision. Both become the room everyone ends up in. The Ignite Bold 60 installs front-facing, corner, or bay from the same unit, with flame and ember-bed colors adjustable independently or in five presets, a crystal-and-driftwood media bed, and optional plug and linking kits for plug-in or multi-unit installations.
